Delhi offers the largest concession: 4% stamp duty for sole female ownership versus 6% for male buyers, a 2-percentage-point gap that can mean lakhs of rupees in savings on a high-value property. Maharashtra's concession is smaller — 5% versus 6% — but is layered on top of a market that already includes a metro cess in major cities. Other states, including Karnataka, Telangana, and Tamil Nadu, apply a flat rate regardless of buyer gender.
