NSW Transfer Duty — General/Investor rates (New South Wales) — applies to: regular buyer, residential. Each rate applies only to the portion of the price that falls within its band, not to the whole price.

How it works
First home buyers benefit from a full exemption on properties up to $800,000 and a concessional rate up to $1,000,000 under the First Home Buyer Assistance Scheme.

This calculator applies NSW's current transfer duty bands, plus the 8% Surcharge Purchaser Duty for foreign persons where applicable.
