Tasmania Conveyance Duty — General/Investor rates (Tasmania) — applies to: regular buyer, residential. Each rate applies only to the portion of the price that falls within its band, not to the whole price.

How it works
Duty is calculated in marginal bands. Unlike most mainland states, Tasmania does not currently charge a foreign purchaser duty surcharge.

This calculator applies the State Revenue Office of Tasmania's published conveyance duty bands to the purchase price.
Exemptions & reliefs
Tasmania does not levy a foreign purchaser surcharge, unlike NSW, Victoria, Queensland and Western Australia.
